THE HISTORY OF THE CM HOIST SCHOOL

The annual CM Hoist School began when Jim Evans (Sr) asked Columbus McKinnon to send technicians to instruct Mountain Productions' employees on the proper use and maintenance of our CM electric chain hoists. The following year, Mountain Productions invited some of our clients to join the instruction.

Over the years, we have invited other industry professionals and the Hoist School became what it is today, a four day seminar with classes in hoist use and maintenance, rigging principles, truss management and lifting and suspension.

Aside from the instruction, Mountain Productions Hoist School provides an excellent opportunity for its participants to make important contacts and network with professionals in all aspects of the staging and rigging industries.
